2-13-12:  WYSE Team Places Third at Regional

The Reed Custer WYSE team competed in the regional competition at the University of St. Francis on February 10th.    The team placed 3rd and 3 students advanced to the Sectional competition.  Individual awards given students who placed in our division: 

  • Marian Barton 2nd in math
  • Tom Cronin 2nd in computer science
  • Ryan Johnson 2nd in engineering graphics
  • Angie Antos 3rd in Physics
  • Andrew Hagberg 3rd place in both engineering graphics and physics
  • Lauren Moore 3rd in English
  • Trevor Murphy 3rd in math

Other team members include:  Olivia O’Donnell, Kelly Saltzman, Natalie Stephens, Jen Touvelle, Breanna Wennberg, Orion Yeck, and Zack Yeck. The sectional competition will be held at North Central College on March 15th.  Marian Barton, Ryan Johnson, and Tom Cronin will represent Reed Custer High School.  The state competition will be held at the University of Illinois in April.
