Rainy Rainforests

A rainforest is a habitat to lots of living things, such as animals and plants.
There are many different types of animals that live in the rainforest. One type of animal is the poison dart frog. You can probably guess where it got it's name from. Poison dart frogs will let out a deadly substance if another animal tries to eat it. They can come in many different colors, such as blue, black, red and yellow. There are other types of frogs that live in the rainforest too. Another type is the tree frog. Tree frogs usually stay in the trees day and night.
Another type of animal that lives in the rainforest is the snake. Snakes are long, scaly worm-like creatures that slither around on the forest floor. One type of snake is the boa constrictor. Boa constrictors are I think the biggest type of snake. There are no tropical rainforests in the United States of America. So if you want to find a tropical rainforest you can go to Port Douglas, Australia. There are not just animals in the rainforest. Many trees grow there too. If you walked into a rainforest you would not get much sun because the trees hog it. The trees in the rainforest are so tall you have to lean your head way back to look at the tippy tops of their branches! Some types of trees in the rainforests are also named palm trees.
So, if you are planning a vacation somewhere and can't decide where to go, I think a rainforest would be the most scrumdiddlyumptous place to go!
