Reptiles are often found in warm places and sometimes by water. I find my reptiles in fields, under stuff like boards, tin sheets, and sometimes in holes. My friends and I like to go snake hunting. Usually we find at least one creature. When I find something, I make an acquarium for it and then after about a month I let it go.

The snake skin in the picture below is the skin of a Texas Garter Snake. I found the live snake in a field under a round pice of plastic that had been the lid of a bucket. The snake was by my friend's house. So we got a tin can from her house and we put the snake in there. We took it home to my house and put it in the window well.

One day later when I went out to check it, the snake had already shed it's skin and that's what is in the picture below! I brought the skin to school and my teacher took a digital picture of it for my webpage.
