Hollie's Horse
Heaven
Horses live in barns. They eat hay. Some horses ride in races. Some horses go in parades. Other horses give rides to kids. Draft horses pull ploughs for farmers. Sometimes horses go in teams to pull sleighs and wagons. Long ago, many horses clip-clopped on on city streets and country roads. Today most of those horses have been replaced by cars and other vehicles.
When horses are work horses, they wear a harness but not a sadle. The harness is made of leather and has a piece of wood that sits on the horse's shoulders.
Sometimes horses run in races. They pull small two wheeled seats that the driver sits in. In some races, the rider sits in a sadle on top of the horse.
I love riding horses! I wish I could get a horse for Christmas! Please, Santa? Mom? Dad?
