Dinosaurs lived a long time ago. Some were carnivores and some were herbivores. Carnivores are meat eaters and herbivoures are leaf eaters. Some dinosaurs could weigh as much as FIVE LARGE ELEPHANTS! That's BIG!

Scientists have found fossils of dinosaurs. Some are found in deserts. Sometimes they can be found in your back yard! When scientists are done looking at the fossils they bring them to a museum and put them in a case. They try to put them together to look like the dinosaurs. One famous dinosaur can be found at the Field Museum in Chicago. Her name is Sue.

Dinosaurs have many names, shapes, and sizes. T-rex, Stegaosaurus and Brontosaurus are just a few famous dinos. Allosaurus, Diplodocus and Pteranodon are some more. Triceratops and Ankylosaurus are unusual creatures too.
