Litte Bear in Argentina, South
America
It all started at Custer Park's Open House
in the fall of 1999...
All arrangements for this trip were made
through computer communication for me, Little Bear, to board a plane
via a postal package, and head south - WAY SOUTH - all the way to La
Plata, Argentina, South America!
I would be
visiting with Melissa, the cousin of Stefanie, a student in Custer
Park's third grade. Melissa, now a college student and a past
graduate of Reed-Custer
High School in Braidwood, Illinois, was
attending a semester of college in La Plata, Argentina during the
fall of 1999.
Excellent! Email messages were sent,
wheels began to turn, and I found myself headed to South America!
While visiting with Melissa in La Plata, I accompanied her on a few
sight-seeing trips. It was my job to report back to the students of
Custer Park, telling them all about the fantastic sights we would
see. It's was tough job, but I loved it!!
Special thanks go out to Stefanie, her
parents, and her cousin Melissa!!
