Welcome to the Seventh Grade Science Online Weather Project!

Project Goals:

1. Students will use Internet resources to gather appropriate weather information.

2. Students will analyze and apply information gathered.

3. Students will share their results with the class.


Procedure:

1. Access Weather Channel and use the weather map on that site to record the weather conditions for the United States. Make your map look just like the one on the Weather Charting website. When you have completed your map, return to this page by clicking the word BACK in the upper left corner of the screen. Turn in your completed map to your teacher.

2. Access the web sites below to find the weather conditions in the regions listed and record your findings on your weather conditions chart. If it takes a long time to load a site, click on the STOP button at the top of the screen, then click the RELOAD button. After your have recorded the necessary information from each web site, click on the word BACK in the upper left corner of your screen to return to this page.

3. Study the map you made in part one, and analyze the weather conditions you have recorded in part two. Now predict the Midwest region weather for the upcoming week.
