Miss B Visits Beautiful Bermuda!

One cold winter day in February, Miss B was stuffed into the

bookbag of one young man at Custer Park

Elementary School. From there, the fun began! Before long,

Miss B was transported from the cold Illinois winter to

the pink sandy beaches on the island of Bermuda!

Come along with Miss B and learn

more about the enchanting island of Bermuda.

Where in the world is Bermuda, anyway?

Bermuda can be located on most maps southeast of the United States and

northeast of the Bahama Islands.

Did you know Bermuda has blue and pink busses?

That's right! There are no yellow school busses in Bermuda. Students, visitors, and locals all ride the city busses, which just happen to be pink and blue! Speaking of pink, many of the buildings on Bermuda are either pink, blue, yellow or purple! Be sure to look for Miss B in the picture link above.

Did you know Bermuda has some awesome caves?

It's true! If you visit the island of Bermuda, you can see some marvelous stalagtites and stalagmites.

If you click on the link above, you will see Miss B beside an incredible stalagtite, or is it a stalagmite?

Find out more about stalagtites and stalagmites HERE.

If you are interested in learning more about caves, visit The Virtual Cave website.

Did you know Bermuda has a very old naval base, complete with cannons?

Years ago, in the year 1820, the naval base was built by prisoners. It is quite an extensive complex.

The naval base is guarded by Neptune, the God of the sea.

Never heard of Neptune? Find out more about Neptune HERE or HERE.

Special thanks to our new friends, Barb, Terry, Tony and Jim,

who let Miss B accompany them on their recent visit to Bermuda!

Thank you once!
Thank you twice!
Thank you three times!
Thank you again!
Thank you once more!
Thank you forever!
