Director of Operations' Message
I have spent the majority of my life working in education. The majority of my professional career was spent teaching college level students with most of that being at Joliet Junior College. I truly enjoy assisting people of all ages in opening their minds to new concepts and assisting them in developing new skills. Working in administration provides me with the opportunity to assist others to do the same.
Making the jump to administration was not a difficult one for me after having spent so much time reporting to administration. To be an effective administrator one must serve first. Our job is to orchestrate and to stay out of the way of those trying to teach their students. Good, effective administration should be almost transparent. However, that is not intended to indicate that we should not remain in control. Professionals working together for a common goal! We all have our part in that process.
If you work here, enjoy your job, you most likely have the best job in the world. If you are a parent, please enjoy your interaction with our school district. We will assist you in educating your children so that they may become successful in life and in whatever career path they may choose. If you are a student remember that even the best teachers cannot get you where you want to go unless you are willing to put forth the effort yourself.
