Reed-Custer School Lunch Payment Information
The following lunch prices will be in effect for the current school year:

Reduced Lunch (all Schools) $0.40 A school lunch includes a main item with a bread component, a milk, a fruit, a vegetable, and an extra item, which is usually a dessert, fruit or snack type item. Items served daily may be purchased separately at ala carte prices.
Prepayment:
All schools have a computerized point of sale (POS) system.
Parents are able to prepay a sum of money to a student's account, which will then act as a declining balance account. We would suggest a minimum payment of $15.00 (10 days of lunches) at the elementary schools and $20.00 at the middle and high schools. The amount would be $4.00 for 10 lunches (at all schools) if student qualifies for reduced price meals. Elementary students (Full price, reduced or free) will receive a laminated card that will have the student's name, teacher, school and I.D. number on it. The student will be handed the card by their teacher before they enter the cafeteria. When the student goes through the lunch line they will hand their card to the cashier to be scanned and the meal will be accounted for. The cashier will keep the card and return it to the teacher prior to the next serving day.
Middle and High school students can either prepay or pay cash for meals. Students/parents are strongly urged to prepay as this is the most efficient manner for students to go through the lunch line. In order for any transaction to occur, a student must give cashier their I.D. number.
If a student loses or damages their card, where will be a $2.00 replacement fee.
Elementary School Prepayment: When making a deposit to an account, money (a check is preferred) should be put in an envelop with the following information written on the outside of it: student name, grade, teacher and account number. A canceled check will be your receipt. If cash if given a receipt will be written upon request. Students are not allowed to pay with cash through the lunch line, all money must be paid prior to the start of lunch. Food Service personnel will collect money from each classroom teacher on the first day of the week. If a student is absent payment should be made to the school office by 10:00 a.m.. on the day the student returns.
Middle School Prepayment; money, (a check if preferred) should be put in an envelope with the following information written on the outside of it: student name, grade and account number. Envelopes should be brought to the middle school office by 9:00 a.m. on the first attendance day of the week. A canceled check will be your receipt. If cash is given a receipt will be written upon request.
High School Prepayment; money (a check is preferred) should be put in an envelope with student name and account number written on it. Envelopes may be dropped off in the locked box in H.S. office on the first attendance day of the week. Prepayment envelopes will be collected at 8:00 a.m. by Food Service personnel. A canceled check will be your receipt, if cash if given a receipt will be written upon request. If student is absent prepayment may be made on the day he/she returns to school.
Any questions regarding meals or prepayment should be directed to the Food Service Manager of the school the students attends. Please call between the hours of 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. or 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
