Addie Dennis

          Mrs. Dennis grew up in Custer Park and graduated from Reed-Custer High School.  She returned to her alma mater as the Director of Bands in 2000.  Earlier in her career, she taught at Stratford Junior High in Carol Stream and the Peotone School District before returning home.

          After graduating from high school, Mrs. Dennis earned her Bachelors in Music from Eastern Illinois University, a Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music and recently received her Masters in School Improvement and Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University where she also earned her Type 75 Certificate.

          She is very proud of her family, husband Matt and her two sons Tommy and Sammy.  Mrs. Dennis is entering her fifteenth year of teaching and is happy to have the opportunity to work with such talented students, inspiring teachers, administrators and supportive parents.

Chip Batko

Director of Choirs

          Mr. Batko grew up in Barrington Illinois where he attended Barrington High School. While in high school, he was an active member of the Band, Choir and Drama departments where his love for the Fine Arts had blossomed.

          To further his education after high school, Mr. Batko attended college at Millikin University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education. He performed with multiple choral ensembles while at Millikin including Millikin Men, Chamber Chorale and the nationally known Millikin University Choir under the direction of Dr. Brad Holmes. Mr. Batko was also part of many theatrical productions both on stage and behind the scenes at Millikin and the local community theatre. Recently, Mr. Batko has enrolled at Vandercook College of Music where he has begun his Masters degree in Music Education.

          Mr. Batko is entering his fifth year of teaching and his third year at Reed-Custer High School. He is thrilled to have been given the chance to work with such talented students.
