15 wrestlers went to the Coal City invite and 11 came home with hardware, great job!
Wrestler host Wilmington on Tuesday and Chanahon on Thursday, come on out and support the team.
RE: PLAY AUDITIONS
Auditions for the RCMS school play "Into The Woods" will be held on Tuesday, Jan 10 and Wednesday, Jan 11. Please pick up an info/ permission sheet at lunch time and read it carefully. YES, you CAN be in sports and other activities and the play. You only need to attend one night of auditions! Remember: No permission? No audition! Get those forms returned ASAP!
RE: CHEERLEADERS
Cheerleading Practice for tonight is cancelled. The next practice will be Wednesday after school.
RE: EIGHTH GRADE BOYS' BASKETBALL
The 8th grade boys basketball team opened the conference tournament with a victory over Wilmington 51-21. The Wildcats jumped all over the Panthers to start the game up 8-0. The Panthers picked up the pace on the defensive end and forced several turnovers that led to easy baskets. Steven Podkulski led the way with 17 points, followed by Travis Schoonover with 11 points, 6 assists, and 7 steals. Neil O'Donnell scored 9 points and handed out 7 assists, Jordan Walden scored 5 points, Brent Headrick 4 points, Alex Frazier and Matt Butera 2 points, and AJ Simonelli chipped in 1.
RE: DANCE
The Academic Booster Club will be hosting a school dance on Friday, January 20 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Admission is $5.00. Candy bars, pop or water will be available for $1.00 each. Remind your parents to pick you up in the back of the school. Sixth grade will be dismissed at 4:50 P.M., seventh grade 4:55 P.M., and eighth grade at 5:00 P.M.
Beginning Monday, and for the next two weeks, we will be monitoring for the dance. Any infractions (out of class, clothing issues, disruptive behavior, etc.) will automatically disqualify you from the dance. Think before you act!
